This single is
the first Les Plastiscines’ release. The record was out in spring of 2006 for promotional
uses. The songs on this single actually can’t be found on LP1 — in fact these
are versions that also included in ‘Paris Calling’ compilation (Because
Music/Bonus track records, 2006). ‘Rake’ on the single, comparing with the
same-titled track from LP1, is
completely different recording (with variations in lyrics, I might add), and
‘Shake (Twist Around The Fire)’ has an alternative mix.
The sleeve
contains photo on the front side and credits on the back one. The sentence
‘Disque Promotionnel’ clearly states that this is not regular but promo
release. The design is pretty classical — discreet but catchy. Vinyl itself plays
just great.
A tiny preview of this single can be found in Les InRocks magazine.

Personal notes
I’m kind of proud to have this one (actually I’ve got two copies). You
see, according to some sources only 300 copies of this record were printed! A
lot of fans even don’t know that this vinyl exists! Well, now you know.
It looks great and this is the very first The Plastiscines’ single,
representing early years of the group — really rare stuff!
